I love Monte Cristos, but rarely get to eat them, and cannot eat them without feeling horribly guilty about just how bad they are for you.
I found a blog thru a blog thru a blog and fell in love with it. It is a bright happy cheery blog born out of woe. A few weeks ago she posted a recipe for cheater monte cristos.
We had them tonight. They were good. Thumbs up from everyone. Except for hannah, who is apparently on strike today. She didn't even want spaghettio-s. No wonder she's such a shrimp!
Instead of recapping the whole recipe, I'm just going to give you the link. But I will tell you that the inside of ours consisted of diced black forest ham (deli selects) and shredded monterrey jack cheese.
